Job Description

  • Fluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and Mandarin Chinese is a MUST; other languages or Chinese dialects a plus.
  • Able to work as a team member with the Sourcing Manager and vendor community to insure proper Purchase Order execution.
  • Travel into mainland China, US, Canada & Europe is required.
  • Must uphold the highest level of integrity; reference checks will be conducted.
  • Knowledge of & Experience with U.S. and/or Canada and/or U.K retail market is a MUST.
  • Complete understanding of Sourcing & Buying office mind-set and business principles.
  • Understanding of customs and international logistics and trade.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills required.
  • Able to plan and multitask, work on various projects and with multiple buyers at the same time.
  • Good planner and organizer, especially coordinating and “driving” Buying & Sourcing Trips independently
  • Good people and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 4-6 years solid experience in Apparel Sourcing & Production, Buying or Related fields
  • Minimum of 4 yrs. experience in either Buying Office, an Agent, a Trading Co. or a Manufacturer.
  • Working responsibly & independently on order follow-up, sourcing, inspection, as well as monitoring production & shipments
  • Self-Motivated, Collaborative, Curious, Constant Learner, “Out of the Box” Thinker, Good Team Player, Ambitious
  • Excellent time management, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • University graduate
