Role Purpose:

The key responsibilities of the Senior Inventory Management Analyst is to analyse existing business processes and logic through personal observation and user interaction, recommending workable procedural improvements and systems changes to ensure the stable operation of the inventory management infrastructure. This includes interacting IM manager, Demand planner and Other functional analysts.

This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and interpret data in order to maximize the benefit of in-house inventory management tools. He/she also support the Asset and Demand Planning Manager, APAC on other ad-hoc Inventory Management initiatives as the business grows.

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

System Analytics

  • Develop/design and sustainment of automation tools used by Group Inventory Management such as KPI metrics reporting, control report, expediting tool and maintaining existing IT tools.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems / processes and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems and processes
  • Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new data systems
  • Spearhead on projects as requested, establish and communicate common goal and direction for the team through thorough data analysis

Business Intelligence

  • Work with category and inventory teams to understand forecast and demand issues and determines actions to resolve.
  • Develops and implements innovative analytical methodologies and support tools for evaluating company processes, business problems, and/or ROI of products and services.
  • Use software and other tools to develop analyses that identify patterns, influences, correlations, relationships, predictive factors, risk factors, and that provide better situational awareness.
  • Create and maintain data mapping & integration feeds that enable the successful flow of information between systems (both third party and internally developed).
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly & annual quantity and revenue forecast, as part of the End to End Category process.

 

Requirments:

Essential:

  • University graduated or above, preferable in Logistics, Supply Chain or analytics
  • Minimum 8 years in progressive responsibility roles within a Supply Chain/ Inventory Management functions preferably in a e commerce business
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory control, data analytics, and planning systems with strong working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. MRP/ERP)
  • Ability to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audienceInventory Management
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems or technologies quickly
  • Strong understanding and application of forecast and demand planning methodology and ability to analysis, interprets and translate data.
  • Experience in spreadsheet automation using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Proficiency with software systems – including Sales Forecasting applications / systems (SAP/ JDA or similar).
  • Good verbal and oral communication skills along with outstanding presentation skills.
  • Ability to think quickly, resolve problems, face obstacles, and take decisions in the process of market research.
  • A good team player who is able to work with cross functional teams and also to work independently and across functions

  • Advanced Excel user
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English  

 

Desirable:

  •  Working technical knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Access.
  • QA/Testing experience  
  • Background in purchasing, inventory and warehouse operations
  • Exposure to digital analytics
