What You Will Be Doing

• The ideal candidate will combine a mix of multi-tier Java development, business analysis, and quantitative skills to the project. 
• You will be working with a small team of quantitative developers and the dev ops team
• This position encompasses not only application development, but the opportunity to create real world solutions and tackle complex and meaningful challenges with a team of agile developers.
• Design, implement, test and maintain major server-side components and web applications
• Implement back-end components of an n-tier application, including data model, data access objects, and application logic
• Participate in project planning sessions with business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
• Carry out design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with architectural standards in all phases
• Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules
• Research and prototype new technologies as appropriate

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 2+ years of professional experience with front end, server side, or mobile software
• Fresh graduates will be considered for junior roles
• Proficiency with ONE of the following technologies: Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle 
• Strong Object-oriented analysis and design skills
• Experience with best practices for user-centric and responsive design
• Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills
• Solid coding practices including coding peer reviews, and unit testing
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through to implementation
