(candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Underwriting Analyst)

The position is primarily responsible for support Head of Underwriting and Portfolio Analyst on portfolio management and A&H product underwriting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide data update and analyses on the Accident & Health Insurance portfolio and prepare all relative reports within deadlines
• Responsible for administrating data to support portfolio management tools
• Provide general administrative support on regular portfolio reviews
• Review, analyze and evaluate risks within established underwriting guidelines
• Provide support on product development i.e. pricing of products, policy terms written, and product set-up in systems, etc.
• Assist in account management initiatives i.e. statistic research, policy terms written and management
• Assist the team in conducting ad-hoc tasks
  
  

Requirements:

• University graduate in Statistics or IT
• At least 2 years’ experience in analytical or MIS role, preferably in Insurance Industry
• Experience in using multiple databases and knowledge of SQL or SAS
• IT knowledge to business intelligence software includes Cognos, SAS, etc. will be preferred
• Project management capabilities
• Good analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access is mandatory
• Fluent in Cantonese and English, both verbal and written
