Responsibilities

l Collaborate with sales departments to determine supply needs

l Assist in forecasting to plan future orders

l Developing procurement plans, assessing transportation, and carting of materials.

l Formulate contracts and release orders to suppliers.

l Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications

l Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures

l Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization

l Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies

l Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates

l Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers

l Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.

l Control records of all stock and inventory.

Requirements

l Proven experience as materials supervisor and above

l Experience in shipping and receiving

l Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems

l Understanding of forecasting and budgeting

l Working knowledge of SAP MM

l Proficient in MS Office

l Excellent organizational and leadership skills

l A problem-solver

l BSc/BA in logistics or relevant field
