Job Function & Responsibilities:

As a Perimeter Security specialist, the candidate will work within Technology Infrastructure providing design & solution engineering support to project related to network and perimeter security. Their duties include providing technical insight to facilitate system design and solution development according to business requirement and technical specifications. The line of business supported included the payment services, global market as well as high frequency trading. 

•             Area of platform touched on include but not limited to firewall, intrusion detection, proxy, load balancers and malware protection infrastructure.

•             Interpret and understand the business requirement and translate that into a solution to meet the business need.

•             Understand Network Security principles and will be able apply the security policy into the solution design.

•             Deliver solution including high level system schematic, hardware specification, testing & acceptance criteria and conceptual application flow details.

•             Develop low level implementation details including equipment inter-connect patching scheme, IP address assignment, network routes exchange within internal network and across different domains, formulate firewall policy, anti-spoof, proxy ARP arrangement, load balancing methodology etc.

•             Prepare implementation documentation for vendor or supplier to execute.

•             Prepare design documentation for project presentation to LOB and regional design authority review & approval.

•             Prepare documentation for handover to network operations team & suppliers for day two support.

Providing technical consultancy and testing, evaluating and recommending network products and services to business partners.

•             Collaborate with the Bank technical teams and service providers to implement best practices to support the global network environment.

Skills and qualifications requirement include:

•             Degree educated or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines.

•             Working experience in providing network solution design and implementation to large scale data networks and perimeter security domain.

•             Minimum 7 to 9 year working experience in similar capacity in the banking & financial industries.

•             Hands on design and engineering knowledge on network security product such as Juniper ScreenOS & JUNO based firewall, CheckPoint firewall, Fortinet firewall, Cisco ASA appliances, TippingPoint IPS/IDS, BlueCoat Proxy, F5 GTM & LTM is required.

•             Certification on vendor product like CCSE, JNCIP-SEC or JNCIE-SEC. BCCP

•             A strong networking background, with in-depth knowledge on commonly used routing protocols and networking systems including but not limited to use of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Multicast, Cisco Catalyst & Nexus product suites.

•             Understanding security best practices and regulatory requirement and could apply that in their design philosophy.

•             Good interpersonal skill, a team player with good written & verbal English communication and presentation skills. Ability to work with associates across various time zones.

•             An analytical, independent and self-initiative approach to work.

•             Knowledge of second Asian language will be added benefit.
