Summary of position’s responsibilities:

• Report directly to Managing Director
• Responsible for full spectrum of finance and accounting matter
• Maintain full set of account, budgeting, costing and financial forecasting
• Prepare and review monthly management reports
• Manage cash flow, payroll
• Cost control
• Responsible for A/R and A/P management
• Responsible for statutory audit and tax return

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

Business Partnering

• Perform monthly reporting for management to review
• Controlling costs at the business unit level; Take part in costs optimization
• Work closely with various departments to ensure the procedures in place are properly executed

Accounting

• Oversees daily book keeping and accounts payable function
• Oversees monthly and yearly accounting closing process
• Month-end closing activities and accounts reconciliation
• Supervise the team in handling accounting operations activities
• Cash management and forecast
• Manage treasury related activities
• Ensure inventory balances and costs are accurate and procedures are implemented effectively

Taxation

• Liaising with external tax advisors for yearly tax filing

Auditing

• Oversees internal audit process
• Liaising with external auditors for statutory audit

Corporate Governance and Controls

• Ensure the company’s financial procedures are correctly understood and applied, and that the financial results reported comply with these procedures
• Liaising with external company secretarial firm for statutory and legal filing

Management

• Position reports directly to the Managing Director
• Leading a small team of 2 subordinates to handle the full finance function

Candidate specifications

• 2+ year in one of the “Big 4" accounting firm is a must
• Qualified Accountant with internationally recognized accounting body
• 6+ years of experience in a senior role in finance
• Experience in inventory management
• Ambition to achieve finance functional excellence and be an all-rounded finance professional
• Proactive and willing to take up challenge and adaptive to a dynamic and fast pace environment
• Experience in leading a small team and good business acumen
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work with all levels of staff, including senior management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese
• Candidate with less experience could be considered for a Finance Manager role
