We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President International Subsidiary Banking. 

In this role, you will

  • International Subsidiary Banking is Commercial Bankings international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking customers within the Large Corporate and Mid Market Enterprise segments. The International Subsidiary Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The International Subsidiary Banking business is a significant contributor of revenue to Commercial Banking and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 40 countries.
  • The International Subsidiary Banking Relationship Manager manages a portfolio of International Subsidiary Banking customers, with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. These clients have varying needs from basic client servicing to more complex multi product needs.
  • Manage large, regional Asia-Pacific, Inbound clients and relationship with an emphasis on revenue growth, business development and risk management.
  • Develop new customer relationships with particular emphasis on developing cross border opportunities with North American and United Kingdom Commercial Banking clients operating in Asia Pacific.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with overseas HSBC Global Relationship Managers and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Achieve stretching revenue growth targets through cross sales of ancillary products such as Trade, Payments and Cash Management Global Markets, Insurance and Capital Financing products to maximize wallet share.
  • Implement Global Standards at all stages of the customer onboarding and relationship management lifecycle.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Significant experience in managing commercial relationships.
  • Seasoned credit skills including experience in complex transactions involving project finance, export finance, acquisition finance.
  • Evidence of building long term customer relationships and achieving stretching revenue goals.
  • Understanding of the region is desirable.
  • Understanding of regulatory challenges or other requirements and restrictions within HSBC group offices
  • Proven track record of portfolio growth and new to bank business acquisition.
  • Solid experience in frontline position
  • Proactive, customer driven approach, with a strong sales and marketing orientation and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Wide breadth of product knowledge
  • Well developed interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills with highly motivated and prepared to accept challenges mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of communicating with all levels of staff and management
  • Relevant Hong Kong Investment and Insurance licenses must be obtained after commencing the role.
