Job Description

About The Role

The ideal candidate is someone with the passion and skill set to communicate and implement compelling visuals in the form of graphic design and photography. He/she lives and breathes social media, and loves to express ideas through beautiful images (think #vsco). 


The role will support our growth into new markets and expand our e-commerce business. Ideal candidate should have great visual communications skills and in-depth knowledge in e- commerce.

 

Responsibilities

• Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design tools such as Adobe Creative Suites and other pertinent softwares to create and execute creative campaigns both online and prints. 


• Work with the Creative Director to transform concepts into visual executions that articulate the Lumio brand and deliver on business needs. 


• Design an array of digital and print assets including campaign concepts, emails, banner ads, print mailers, catalogs, and e-commerce imagery. 


• Own projects from kickoff through completion, presenting your work to the Creative Director; incorporate feedback into thoughtful final assets. 


• Contribute to small scale photo shoots in partnership with the Creative Director.


• Provide creative oversight on video and social media executions. 


• Ensure that all projects are delivered in our distinct brand voice and in a timely manner. 


• Work closely with owner to build creative content and develop strategies to create passion 
and grow e-commerce sales.

• Monitors and measures the success of community engagement (i.e. number of users, number of discussions, etc.). Identify, analyze and report on community trends to internal team.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends. 


 

Ideal candidate

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field. 


• Have 5-7 years of graphic design experience in retails and/or e-commerce (or at an agency 
for an e-commerce client). 


• Are a strong conceptual thinker with a digital and print background. 


• Are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, have a keen understanding of graphic/web design 
principles and current web technologies (HTML, CSS). 


• Are a strong communicator and have the ability to prioritize and manage work while 
adhering to critical timelines. 


• Are passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing engaging content and campaigns. 


• Are able to own a project from start to finish, working autonomously, but welcoming 
feedback and collaboration.

• Can back-up your experience with a strong portfolio. 


• Preferably have art direction and photo shoot experience. 


• Have experience concepting and designing for video content. 


• Understanding of trends in social media, web and mobile technologies. 


• Taking product photographs as well as video editing skills are needed. 


• Implement creative concepts for websites, landing pages and email designs based on the 
marketing director and company's needs. 


• Great visual and verbal communication, written and analytical skill. 


• Experience in designing customer experiences. 


• A can-do attitude: No task is too small or too daunting. 


• Have an eye and interest in good design.
