Financial Control – Business Performance and Management Information

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Group Reporting and Analysis Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial management information, business analysis on the performance of business units, products and customer segments for management review
• Convene regular meetings with business managers, understanding the business needs and providing tailor made management information to cope with business expansion and development
• Participate in management accounting related projects and enhancement and coordinating with team members to enhance the existing workflow.

Requirements

• University degree in related discipline, with a recognized professional accounting qualification an advantage, proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Minimum of six years’ experience in accounting / auditing, preferably with exposure on management reporting and financial analysis
• Able to lead changes in the evolving environment and cope with up to date business requirement.
• Understand the flow of different business system and how they interface into FTP ledger.
• Observe & implement business agreement on revenue splitting
• Plan and schedule ahead the work and training need of subordinates
• Ascertain information needs of different level of management
• Establishing service standards and maintaining up-to-date procedure
• Motivating and mobilizing the staff to perform as required
• Leading enhancement projects for any business initiative, such as new reporting requirement, implementation of new systems, change in business needs, etc.
• Sound knowledge of banking operations and internal control
• Sound Knowledge of application software including Excel, MS Access and Powerpoint
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills and able to work under pressure
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
