Job Description

Working Location:  Hong Kong

Conduct deep dive analyses and build predictive models to identify actionable workforce insights for HR and business teams.  The insight from the analysis will be used to drive HR investments and talent management decisions, and assess HR program effectiveness. In addition, this role will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and delivering scorecards & dashboards to HR leadership and management team and serving in a data & analytics advisory role for the HR team.


Job Responsibilities

Advanced & Predictive Analytics

  • Support and identify data sources, build data sets to perform statistical analyses, create what-if scenarios, and develop forecasts and predictive models around attrition, performance, hiring demand, and resource utilization
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses with candidate and workforce data to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes, including determining significance of changes and impact on the organization
  • Deliver findings in clear and succinct reports and presentations and ensure thorough understanding by recipients to enable data-driven decision making and actions
  • Research and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in workforce analytics

Scorecards & Dashboards

  • Establish and deliver scorecards and dashboards for HR and business leaders to provide timely and meaningful insights on the health of our workforce and progress on key initiatives; support all aspects of project from requirements gathering to design, testing, and timely delivery
  • Assist and evaluate solutions to appropriately benchmark our processes against internal and external best practices
  • Actively participate and drive workforce reporting & analytics needs on cross-functions to align and create metrics and scorecards for HR and business.

Reporting & Operations

  • Interact with HR core system owners to enhance data infrastructure in order to maintain HR data warehousing and data quality for the delivery of accurate and meaningful human capital analytics and HR metrics.
  • Serve as an expert data & analytics resource for HRBPs; maintain pulse on evolving organizational needs and elevate the capabilities of reporting & analytics tools to continue driving end-users self-sufficiency, and standardize internal reporting & analytics processes (e.g., automate reports, develop guidelines & data and metrics dictionary, etc.)

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an information systems or mathematical field such as Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science or Applied Mathematics is required for this position
  • 8+ years of experience with business intelligence, data mining, or workforce analytics work
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts and output to non-experts in both a written and verbal manner
  • Critical thinking skills in formulating hypotheses, interpreting results, and being able to make educated guesses when data may be sparse or unavailable
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Good project management, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate data-based insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and deadlines
  • High professional standards for customer service, confidentiality, integrity, and quality of work
  • Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytical tools (Qlikview, SAS, Cognos, Brio Query)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications; sound in VB, VBA, SQL
  • Experience with database reporting tools and HRM Systems (Workday, PeopleSoft)
