Gallery Assistant and Graphic Designer

10 Chancery Lane Gallery is one of Hong Kong’s most established and vibrant art galleries representing a diverse group of artists primarily from the Pan Asia Pacific. The gallery is now looking for a gallery assistant and graphic designer to join the team.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide administrative and visual support to the team on gallery operations, administrations and exhibitions
• Responsible for all promotional and communication materials, including coordination and design
• Manage gallery social media and online platforms
• Upkeep Artwork Database and promotional material stock
• Assist in Computer and software troubleshooting
• Responsible for chinese press liaison; organise press clipping and filing
• Maintain and update daily display items and gallery presentation

Requirements:

• University graduate
• Strong interest in art and the Hong Kong art scene
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Able to handle multiple task at one time and work under a tight schedule
• Good team player with excellent communication skills, as well as independently with a strong sense of responsibility
• Graphic design proficiency with design software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is a must. Knowledge of SketchUp and iMovie will be an advantage
• Proficient in Mac OS platform a must. With computer proficiency (including Excel, FileMaker Pro, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) with English and Chinese processing.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Previous experience in art field is a plus
