An Investment Bank is looking to hire a Network Engineer (renewable 1-year contract) to join its team in Hong Kong to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the network, including data network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the administration of LAN/WAN server, network infrastructure planning and execution and voice/telecommunication system setting and planning
• Provide engineering consultancy by evaluating, designing and maintaining existing or proposed data telecommunications systems more efficiently
• Plan and execute data network infrastructure for the Asia Pacific region offices
• Recommend and designs enhancements to the telecommunications system
• Schedule technical and operational projects
• Monitor the operations and performance of data telecommunications systems and services received from vendors
• Maintain effective communication between data services personnel and the users of data services and systems
• Maintain data security of the data network and ensures full compliance with legal and regulatory environments when implementing solutions
• Assist in network analysis and support for critical network systems

Requirements:           

• Hands-on experience in sizable routing and switching network
• Sound knowledge of networking equipment and operations on Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, QoS, BGP, MPLS, etc.
• Familiar with LAN switch & router configuration
• CCNA, CCNP, CCDP or CCIE is preferable
• 5+ years’ working experience in IP networking within the banking industry.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Knowledge in planning, installing and operating voice/data networks
