Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Scope

  • Build reward-U’s market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.  Key emphasis on providing the primary revenue stream for the program through maintaining a strong margin on points sale;
  • More detailed market opportunity and profitability analysis especially in respect of laying the groundwork to establish reward-U as a currency.

Business development / strategy support

  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities;
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending points margin;
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals as well as reward-U’s;
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations;
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations;
  • Always seek opportunities for sister companies (e.g. HKE) to leverage the relationship developed by reward-U;
  • Expertise in establishing a well-structured and co-ordinated B2B pipeline including strengthening of verified sales opportunity analysis.

Project management 


  • Manages internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. 

Team building

  • Lead an efficient and targeted team of approximately 3-4 staff dedicated to making reward-U a “best-in-class” loyalty program in support of the U-Fly Alliance carriers and it’s membership;
  • Promote skill development, continued education and training, throughtout the junior staff on both core business teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree holder or above;
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and spoken, in English;
  • Minimum 10 years’ (relevant) working experience incl. 5 years in managerial/supervisory level;
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
  • Hands on experience developing and implementing targeted offer strategies like a deep understanding of customer segmentations and life cycle marketing;
  • Extensive experience in building/revamping and managing an airline’s frequent flyer program or a travel-related loyalty program;
  • Able to derive insights to construct offers, campaigns and communications that drive profitable customer behaviors.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Good command of spoken and written English, Chinese language is a plus;
  • Self-starter;
  • Prospecting and closing skills;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Knowledge of relevant systems, technologies, and industry best practice for Loyalty partnerships for LCCs;
  • Understand the uniqueness of China and Hong Kong-based travel patterns and customer profiles / booking patterns.
