Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute key account plans in close collaboration with sales and other supporting functions
  • Leverage Teva's broad product portfolio and capabilities in order to develop tailor made customer solutions for the hospital authority while maximizing tender success rates
  • Regular communication with sales and marketing team to ensure the promotional programs are well delivered
  • To support sales team by answering all queries related to sales issues, product knowledge, marketing campaigns
  • Collect and report market intelligence on any activities and information about competitive products, including promotional activities, product launches and price preparations
  • Support sales team in managing daily ordering activities, e-ordering and e-return processes
  • Manage distributor(s) for prompt order delivery schedule
  • Work closely with Sales Manager, Trade to monitor delivery schedule on a regular basis for key accounts to achieve sales target
  • Customer Focus and Knowledge: Understand a deep level, the customer's business environment and patient-centric strategies that lead to business opportunities for Teva and its ability to build long-term relationships
  • Industry and Market Knowledge: Has a comprehensive, detailed and current view of all industry trends, issues, challenges and indicators relevant to how Teva does business with customer accounts and formulates opportunity strategies
  • Company / Product Knowledge: Can easily integrate deep product and Company knowledge with account strategies and opportunity pursuits.  Have a deep knowledge of Teva's product portfolio and Teva's capabilities relative to developing customer solutions
  • Strategic Agility: Possess and sue the mental and physical skills to move swiftly and seamlessly through strategic business situations and interactions
  • Financial / Business Acumen: Build and maintain a deep understanding of the financial and business structures, issues, challenges and opportunities that govern decisions about customer and opportunity engagement
  • Value Analysis and Opportunity Insight:  Applies critical thinking to the practice of evaluating the mutual value of opportunities and develop strong rationale for prioritizing one opportunity over another
  • Responsibility for the Corporate Customer Relationship:  Acts as the "ambassador" to the customer on behalf of Teva and assumes full responsibility for the relationship at all levels of the customer's organization and within Teva in order to present a unified response in promoting Teva solutions and responding to customer needs
  • Value Co-Creation:  Recognize the importance of and consistently implement on going improvements to current processes for customer engagement, responding to customer needs and requests and take a leadership role in strengthening adherence to those processes
  • Negotiation Skills:  Develop plans and strategies based on a confirmed understanding of how one will be held responsible for business outcomes specific to market share, product growth and customer support excellence
  • Presentation Skills:  Able to consistently present ideas, solutions and business cases in a clear, concise format that engages others and lead to strong mutual alignment and commitment

Requirements

Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in related fields (Science, Pharmacy, Business Management)
  • MBA is preferred


Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience as Key Account Manager at an MNC Pharmaceutical company
  • Have held responsibility for the Hospital Authority
  • Minimum 8 years of combined industry experience
  • Field experience in pharmaceuticals is preferred
  • Experience in managing broad and complex product portfolios preferred
  • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas (preferably Oncology, Central Nervous System, CV / Cardiovascular, Women's Health)


Skills

  • Proficient in English and Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
  • Have deep knowledge and successful track record with the Hospital Authority
  • Good networking with healthcare professionals and others
