Job Description

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for collaborating with US counterparts, vendors, Demand Planning team and Production Management team for raw materials planning, seasonal raw materials projections, capacity planning and etc to enhance raw materials offerings for Victoria's Secret.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Raw Materials Planning
    • Engage with Raw Materials Technical based on identified capacity risk
    • Problem solve with Mills to minimize risk within set order cadence
    • Manage total risk and validate seasonal calendar
  2. Seasonal Raw Materials Projections
    • Ensure aggregated projections are in alignment with sourcing strategies, total capacity and commitment timing
    • Analyze seasonal projections to resolve discrepancies before passing to mills
    • Coordinate with Demand Planning around total Raw Materials needs and timing
  3. Seasonal Raw Materials Capacity Planning
    • Communicate projections to mills and confirms delivery timing
    • Collaborate with mills to resolve risk (delivery, capacity, etc.); negotiate with mills when not hitting standard lead times
    • Collaborate with US Raw Materials Planning and P&S as projections and timing change
    • Responsible for advising early commitment needs to US Raw Materials Planning
    • Communicate confirmed delivery timing for all materials to P&S and vendors for assigned book of business
    • Coordinate with Raw Materials Tech around product readiness to identify additional risk
    • Communicate brand strategy changes and implications to mills
  4. Seasonal Raw Materials Commitment Management
    • Reconcile commitment need with projected delivery plan and engage mills for large discrepancies
    • Resend confirmed delivery plan to garment vendors and P&S
    • Engage mill, Demand Planning team, and vendor to resolve delivery discrepancies
    • Engage P&S and US Raw Materials Planning to prioritize deliveries where capacity constraints exist
  5. Raw Materials Ownership Reconciliation
    • Engage with mills to support ready date negotiations that differ from capacity planning
    • Regional support to US Raw Materials Planning for other mill related issue mitigation
  6. Undertake any other assignments as required

  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in apparel industry.  Intimate experience would be an advantage.
  • Well organized, good communication skill and able to work independently
  • Proficient in MS office, including MS Excel
  • Good command in oral and written English and Chinese
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Merchandiser
