The Program Officer will work on the Youth Empowerment Programs (YEP) and the digital literacy program, Code + Create. YEP is a progressive series of activities that help students aged 12-17 develop their leadership skills and make an impact on issues they care about. It consists of 3 programs: Powered By Service, Powered By Youth, and Act!on for a Cause. Code + Create brings basic coding workshops to primary aged students, cultivating their problem solving skills and creative thinking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Youth Empowerment Programs:

• Coordinate with local and international secondary schools to engage student participants across YEP
• Monitor the progress of students’ community action projects
• Contribute to curriculum development of workshops – including doing research and extracting insights from quantitative/qualitative information
• Work closely with Program Manager on the impact measurement of programs

Code + Create:

• Engage and secure local primary schools and community centers to participate in the program
• Work with teachers and social workers in maintaining consistent student attendance in workshops
• Coordinate instructors’ roster and workshop schedule
• Work closely with Program Manager on volunteer recruitment and management

Job Specifications:

o   Bachelor degree or above

o   Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese

o   Self-motivated and proactive in solving problems

o   Strong interpersonal communication skills

o   Strong organizational skills with keen eye for detail

o   Flexibility to work on weekends

o   Fresh grads welcome
