Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is a well resourced and successful private independent non-profit IB World school in Hong Kong offering a bilingual PYP programme and MYP and DP programmes from Grades 1-12. The secondary school comprises over 880 students served by 80 teachers, more than half of whom are expatriate. VSA is now recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Laboratory Technician II – Biology and General Science.

Responsibilities:

• Support Science teachers by maintaining the smooth running of experiments;
• Assist the laboratory technician I with day-to day organization;
• Take care of animals, insects, fish, cultures and plants, etc;
• Source different varieties of resources from stores and go shopping outside working hours;
• Carry out clerical and documentation work.

Requirements:

• Certificate forLaboratory Technicians with minimum 2 years working experience in preparation of biology experiments in secondary schools;
• Experience in preparation of general sciences experiments is an advantage;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word under Windows and Mac OS.

• A self-motivated person who shows initiative.

Remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
