Responsibilities:

• To plan, manage and control the distribution service operations for both Hong Kong and South China, including warehouse operations, trucking & distribution operations and ad-hoc value added service operations projects.
• Station at Hong Kong or South China Distribution Centers when required.
• Act as a KEY contact point to ascertain warehousing, distribution and value-added services in full compliance with customer SOP requirements.
• Take full responsibility on distribution operations thru support on physical operations and manage the operations team of Hong Kong & South China.
• Monitor distribution center running expenses to ensure costs are being well covered with proper margin on all distribution and warehousing projects.
• Work closely with Service Providers & Operators to build strong relationship in fostering an effective and efficient operations in order to meet Service Excellence.
• Work closely with management for process improvements of Distribution Centers including review warehouse rates, local trucking rates and services standards.
• Act as Value-Added Services requirements Subject Matter Expert (SME) to prepare related quotation as requested by customers and handle any daily distribution service matters at Distribution Center.
• Prepare annual budget and headcount planning for both Hong Kong and South China.
• Work closely with Corporate IT team and take lead on WMS initiatives and related projects.
• Responsible to design and prepare various reports and support analysis for both internal and external customers.
• Support Department Head on ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with logistics and supply chain or operations management.
• At least 7 years working experience in logistics, 3PL freight forwarding, warehousing industry in both Hong Kong & South China area with 2 years supervising experience.
• Rich Contract Logistics Operations experience is a MUST
• Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) & excellent English in both written and spoken
• Knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Knowledge of project implementation would be an advantage
• Good communication and problem solving skill
• Travel to South China area is required
