Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Research the relevant compliance regulations and laws to provide general support on legal matters.
  • Draft compliance guidelines and risk management policies to cover all business activities of the company.
  • Review operational procedures to tighten controls around high-risk areas.
  • Perform internal audit to ensure business activities comply with statutory and regulatory requirements. 
  • Carry out risk assessments to identify potential risks and come up with recommendations for improvement in control and operating effectiveness.
  • Prepare periodic assessment report.
  • Liaise with internal units as well as external regulatory bodies, legal advisors and auditors as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance or Accounting from a top-tier university*.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in compliance or internal control.
  • Proficient knowledge of latest financial regulations and corporate governance.
  • Strong self-motivation, attentiveness to details and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.

 

* Top-tier university refers to an institution in the top 5 in HK, top 10 in China, top 50 in the U.S., top 10 in a host country, or top 100 in the world.

Through account inquiries and regional fund management, it performs offshore treasury management function by applying systematic management techniques and advanced technology, and as a result, to perform globalized monitoring of offshore accounts, cross-border funds allocation and liquidity management.

The main functions include, but are not limited to, the followings:
(1) Management of all offshore accounts and capital;
(2) Establishment and management of all offshore accounts monitoring framework;
(3) Establishment, operations and management of all offshore regional capital pools;
(4) Allocation of offshore regional capital;
(5) Establishment of offshore accounts and funds management system;
(6) Financial consultancy services for offshore units.
