Counselling Assistant (Ref. 1700023A) (Closing date: October 24, 2017)
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Counselling (relevant work experience is required for those with a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling); (ii) undergone training in counselling; and (iii) fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English. Experience in student affairs and student development programmes in university setting is preferred.

The appointee will be assigned to the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine. Duties include (a) planning and organising holistic activities for students; (b) developing personal growth and self-enhancement programmes for students; (c) providing individual counselling services for students; and (d) providing consultation for student bodies. Working beyond normal office hours and during weekends may be required.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
