Our small and growing team has a rare opportunity for an experienced corporate relations and event professional.

    Asian Fund for Cancer Research Limited (AFCR) is seeking an Administrative and Development Coordinator to serve as part of a dynamic team with a passionate commitment to enhancing cutting-edge cancer research and inspiring generosity. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and managing corporate philanthropic and sponsorship relationships to expand AFCR's donor base and grow revenue. This role includes oversight of the planning and execution of special events, and provision of high-quality administrative and clerical assistance to Executives and Directors of the Board.

    Reporting to the CEO and Board Chair, the Administrative and Development Coordinator will be responsible for discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate partners for event sponsorships and other gifts aligned in support of NFCR's highest priority funding areas. The Administrative and Development Coordinator will work consistently to build a pipeline of prospects and will create written plans to support the solicitation of corporate sponsorships and gifts and planning of major events.

    Duties (include but not limited to)

    Corporate Relations and Special Events (85%)

    ·         Steward a portfolio of current corporate partners to maximize retention and philanthropic contributions 

    ·         Build a portfolio of corporate prospects and engage with them in all aspects of the gift cycle, including discovery of prospective corporate partners; development and implementation of appropriate cultivation strategies; creation of donor engagement plans to move prospects in a timely fashion toward solicitation and closure of gifts; and appropriate stewardship of corporate partners

    ·         Secure contacts and meetings; utilize performance metrics as a planning tool and guideposts for day-to-day activity

    ·         Develop marketing and sponsorship proposals to clearly demonstrate AFCR's value proposition to prospects for our special events and cause-marketing opportunities

    ·         Negotiate partnership agreement terms and contracts

    ·         Update database records in an accurate and timely manner

    Administrative (15%)

    ·         Coordinate and prepare Executives' and Board of Directors' meetings 

    ·         Arrange Executives' travel plans when necessary

    ·         Prepare presentations for Executives and Board of Directors.

    ·         Coordinate conference schedules internally and externally, if necessary

    ·         Act as the point of contact between Executives and Board.

    ·         Highly organized; able to set priorities, manage multiple demands and meet deadlines

    ·         Superb written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    ·         Knowledge of leading practices in corporate partnerships and fundraising events

    ·         Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and SalesForce or comparable database

    ·         Maturity and professional judgment; adheres to the highest ethical standards and understands laws governing fundraising

    Preferred Experience

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in marketing or a related field of study

    ·         At least five (5) years of experience in cultivation and solicitation of corporate sponsorships and gifts

    ·         At least three (3) years of experience organizing large-scale events and creating optimal sponsor experiences to retain and advance philanthropic relationships

    ·         Track record of building corporate relationships that exceed expectations

    ·         Experience working as part of a team in a multifaceted fundraising and marketing shop (e.g., annual fund, direct marketing, digital marketing, major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, events)

    ·         Experience in planning, monitoring and reporting on budgets
