Haymarket Media Asia is looking for an editor to lead the launch of PRWeek in Asia-Pacific.

PRWeek is the world’s leading PR and comms publication. Based in Hong Kong, the editor will be responsible for generating agenda-setting stories and well-researched, insightful analysis pieces for the brand’s online platform, in addition to developing ideas and content for face-to-face events such as conferences, awards and roundtables.

Reporting to the brand director, the editor will be the public face of the magazine. He or she will work with a team of writers and manage associated budgets. Key responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the website, writing and subbing articles, developing industry contacts, and creating new editorial opportunities.

The right candidate will be an accomplished journalist with an impressive track record of taking forward online media products. He or she will be able to take on a variety of tasks, ranging from the smooth running of the website to chairing seminars and discussion groups with senior industry figures.

Candidates will be expected to display the following personal qualities:

• Experienced writing, reporting and commissioning skills
• Editing experience in a multi-platform environment
• Ability to build and manage a network of contacts and outside contributors

• Good personal communication skills
