Our client, an International Asset Management Company, is looking for high caliber candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative legal and compliance advice to the management team

• Propose commercial alternatives to address legal and compliance barriers

• Monitor regulatory developments within covered markets in Asia-Pacific region, derive and implement appropriate measures to be compliant

• Formulating, developing and maintaining internal guidelines, regulatory policies and procedures to ensure that the business is adequately advised

• Provide on-going compliance advisory and support on investment management,

        marketing and cross-border activities pertinent to the business in APAC

• Develop and provide Compliance trainings to staff

• Deal and work with local vendors, advisors, regulators and counterparties inside or outside of Hong Kong

• Draft, translate and review agreements including proofreading and updating to latest Format

• Handle Company Secretary tasks, e.g. annual returns, change of directorship, etc.

• Monitor the flow of original documents (e.g. agreements and certificates) and the 

        execution of documents

• Other legal and compliance tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

   

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or professional qualification holder, legal education background

• Minimum 3 years working experience in legal / compliance field of financial institutions, preferably with an asset management firm, bank or financial regulator

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin)

• Ability in translation or experience in working with bilingual documents in English and Chinese (traditional and simplified Chinese characters)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications;

• Detail-oriented, quick learner and meticulous

• Well organized as well as a good team player

• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
