Client Management Control Officer - Wealth Management /Private Banking
Responsibilities
The WM Client Management department is expanding with the creation of a Control and Support team. Main purposes are to oversight certain client’s instructions received by Front Office and to support Front Office in the centralisation, harmonisation and performance of some administrative tasks. The team will work closely with Front Office and ensure controls are followed.
The team will look after activities of both Hong Kong and Singapore booking platform and will be composed of 2 streams
FO Controls
The team will be the single point of contact for performing / listening call back and managing independent call back processes over a broad type of client’s instructions (payment, change of static data, etc). Officer will be in charge of authenticating the clients and confirming instructions before it can be further processed by processing departments. The team will also be responsible for client satisfaction and quality of call back performance done for these sensitive instructions concerned.
FO Support
Centralization and harmonization of some administrative tasks: preparation/validation/issuance of
- client reference letter
- ad hoc statements
- audit confirmation
- Any other to be identified
Transversal development
- Contribute to the implementation of Permanent Control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities via KSP KSP requests, regular procedures review, process deficiencies for example.
- Participation in regular review of operational procedural changes /requirements during processing functions / staff meetings
- Participation in Projects / System Changes / UAT / new system implementation when required and in particular when impacting the department activity.
- Contribute to implementation of regular reporting on activity (KPI, KRI).
Requirements
- Good communication skills towards external and internal customers, handling of customers.
- Ability to communicate with Internal Clients, explain rationale / stand and keep good relationship,
- Ability to escalate, take decision on time sensitive transactions/events while keeping risk control / fraud as a priority.
- Capacity to quickly adapt, understand varied and complex banking systems.
- Around 5 years of experience in private bank, investment bank and financial institutions
- Familiar with cash management (funds and securities transfer) instructions) and other private banking instruments will be beneficial
- Must have experience with client servicing
- Strong team player and able to operate independently
- Good communication skills and fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
