Main Purpose of the Job

• Provide extensive business support aiming to bridge division operations and accounting in such a way that internal and external planning and control cycle and reporting are designed and functioning in an efficient and effective way.
• Reporting to the Division Controller, HKMA PMBA. 

Key Responsibilities / Duties

Planning and control cycle

-       Support in the preparation of the division budget and estimates

-       Conduct analysis, pro-actively comparing actuals with plan & estimates

-       Report the financial information to Division Controller with quality and timeliness

Projects

 -       Review of bid/contract documents on invoicing schedule and payment terms and on credit ratings new customers

-       Provide financial advice on go / no-go process and ensure financial risks/opportunities are managed

-       Ensure adequate end-to-end partner management 

-       Supervise/conduct all activities of project administrator 

-       Support the business on structuring (project set –up) and budgeting of projects (contract recognition) 

-       Support management on periodical project reviews 

-       Valuation of monthly project performance for revenue recognition 

-       Support/Transfer knowledge on project financials to LM and PM

•  Challenge Line and Project Management on team composition, feasibility of project schedule, and information quality
•  Support LM and PM in risk / opportunity management: Ensure risks / opportunities are properly reflected in accruals, forecasts, provisions and contingencies
•  Interpretation of results and possible intervention

-       Manage collection and dispute management process and collaborates with PM and Legal

-       Continuous monitor and improve effectiveness and efficiency of project reporting, administration and control 

-       Assisting Month End closing process in respect of Revenue Recognition

Working Capital Management

-       Follow-up of timely invoicing and collection with central team

-       Prepare Cash flow forecast and report compared performance supported by pro-active analysis

Reporting

-       Proactive performance analysis to support management decisions

-   Provide management information to project managers, department heads, division management and financial Controller

Person Specifications / Qualification

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance, member of ACCA / HKICPA or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in similar position with projects and accounting.
• Knowledge of management of information and control systems
• Capacity to use and /or to learn applicable software
• Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and numeric skills
• Agility and focus to support management
• Excellent command of written and spoken in both English and Cantonese., conversational level in Mandarin is preferred
• Proactive attitude and accurate work
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
• Immediate available or short notice is highly preferred
