Our client is a Top Tier International Insurance company, and they are looking for a high-calibre and seasoned candidate to lead their finance team. This role provides excellent exposure as you will be working closely with the CFO / FC, as well as leading a team. It is a newly created headcount as part of the company's new initiative to promote better finance business partnership. It will be an interesting role that essentially acts like mini-CFOs. There will also be excellent career progression opportunity for the person in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management reporting function of the business as a whole to direct the Life Insurance entity of the business
• Acting as an advisor and controller, you will provide investigations and analysis on business performance to leaders in order to understand and address challenges faced by the business
• Leading the overall strategic financial planning process and prepare commentaries to support the function
• Frequent liaising with the investment and actuarial teams for P&L management
• Implementing financial control processes in the business by assisting in the monitoring of strategic and action plans, as well as variance analysis and reports
• Be a major factor in elaborating strategies, plans, and monitor the financial impacts
• Managing change within the business with a focus on increasing efficiency

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of finance background with insurance companies
• Big 4 advisory candidates who have been focusing on insurance sector and have FP&A exposure would also be considered
• Qualification in finance, accounting, actuarial or anything similar is essential
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial controllership and/or reporting
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, Cantonese not a must but would be advantageous
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and good executive presence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
