Job Description
The role
Macrobond is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its macroeconomic data team as a Junior Macroeconomic Analyst. More experienced candidates may be considered for non-junior analyst position. The main responsibility is to develop and maintain our databases of economic data. The job will include:
- Being responsible for database administration and sourcing of macroeconomic / social data from public and private sources
- Ensuring that relevant information is maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner to the database
- Communicating with sources to ensure that data is maintained at a high standard
- Building up knowledge of market practices in relevant markets
- Using language skills to understand and source information
- Organising own work according to the job priorities agreed
- Working closely with Sales/Support to provide high quality customer service
Desired qualifications
- University graduate (Economics, Statistics, Finance or related subjects)
- Previous experience of working with economic or financial data would be a major advantage
- Excellent English and fluency in at least one Asian language is required
- Good computer skills, including experience in Excel
- Good research skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- You must have the right to work in Hong Kong
