Job Description

The Acceleration Programme of HKSTP, as known as Leading Enterprises Acceleration Programme (LEAP) is a new initiative to further support the development of tenant companies and incubatees of Hong Kong Science& Technology Parks Corporation.  LEAP is an ultra-tailored programme with one goal in mind - to turn elite startups into regional or global tech giants. LEAP nurtures selected members of our Incubation Programmes and companies at Science Park and prepares them for eventual IPO or M&A. Through a combination of business and corporate development, offered by HKSTP and industry experts in various fields, LEAP gives these exceptional individuals and businesses a chance to truly shine.


Job Responsibilities:-

• Manage the admission process including deal sourcing, programme promotion, due diligence and arranging admission panel meetings, etc.
• Serve as an account manager to work with acceleratees in various aspects of operations as needed and monitor the progress
• Connect with industry communities and investors to initiate or support in business or investment transactions
• Deliver and/or source training to acceleratees in relation to one or more key corporate functions
• Assist in exit management
• Assist in operation management of the acceleration programmes
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager as appropriate


Requirements:-

• University graduate or above in Life Science / Electrical Engineering / Finance or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in start-up operations / early stage investment / consulting / business development.  Candidate with strong background but less experience will also be considered 
• Previous exposure to Mainland China and overseas market(s) is a plus
• Passion for entrepreneurship; good understanding in start-up eco-system
• Experience in dealing with entrepreneurs and senior executives at established organizations
• Logical thinking, attention to details, great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to take lead and work independently to meet deadlines, as well as flexibility to work in a team
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
