Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • assist to develop and facilitate a healthy and safe campus including development of a safety management system, in-house rules and safety programmes;
  • provide safety training, carry out inspections in relation to health and safety, conduct accident/incident/complaints investigations; and prepare rectification/improvement proposals;
  • carry out risk assessment and ensure working processes are conducted properly;
  • manage fire services systems to ensure their performance and including fire safety inspection, liaison and drills;
  • manage all safety related equipment and installation to ensure their proper functioning; and
  • ensure all health and safety documentation including licenses, permits, testing, statutory forms are properly recorded and kept up-dated.


Applicants should:

  • have a recognized degree or diploma in occupational safety and health, or equivalent, and relevant OSH post qualification experience of not less than 5 years in both tertiary education and construction sites, preferably with experiences in facility/property management or in education sectors;
  • be a Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations; and preferably with Registered Safety Auditor qualification;
  • have a valid First Aid Certificate recognized by HKSAR Government; and
  • have good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and the ability to work independently, efficiently and under tight timelines.

The appointee will be required to work in evenings, on weekends and public holidays if required by the College.
