Responsibilities

• Provide direction and lead the piling contractors in relation to quality of the works and the works programme.
• Ensure that all piling works and processes are carried out in accordance with the designed and approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Ensure that the piling contractors provides adequate safety measures during the piling process.
• Ensure that the piling contractors carries out the works in accordance with the works programme.
• Provide assistance with the review of site measurements for the piling works.
• Monitor the piling works with a view to ensure that the quality of the work is maintained.
• Tend to site inspection requests and verify the compliance with the design drawings and specifications
• Review, record and provide advice on all QC testing procedures.
• Identify, assess, document and advise on risks and opportunities.
• Attend/Chair and assist with coordination meetings and provide input where required.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
• Assist with the verification of works completed in relation to BOQ’s and contractor’s claims.
• Provide support for the functional area of the project, or for the project team as a whole, as required by the structure of the project team.
• Where applicable provide suggestions or observations in respect to the element of the works.
• Assist with the H&S at site and advise line manager of any infringements.
• Any other duties that may be assigned as part of the construction works.
• Review and verify the accuracy of handover documentation.

Competencies

• Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent work experience (supervisor level).
• 5+ years’ experience in construction/site environment in a piling supervision role.
• Intermediate time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes on occasion.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collate materials into a template report.
• Proficient in English/Mandarin languages
• Basic working knowledge of software Microsoft Excel, Word, Project & AutoCAD.
• Team player and able to adapt to changes within the construction process
• Working in China
