We are now looking for a Specialist, Product Safety & Compliance who is responsible for supporting the EHS department for implementation of chemicals and product safety/product regulatory (PSPR) compliance processes, procedures, requirements and programs for all Isola operations. The key objectives are to ensure that Isola’s products and operations maintain compliance with all applicable local legislations,  international/industrial practices, and customer specifications while conforming to Isola’s corporate standards and  striving to continuously improve EHS performance. Proactively add value and promote company success by embracing and enhancing the corporate value of putting safety first.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create or modify existing work processes and  systems to efficiently manage and document  PSPR compliance activities. (e.g. Compile and maintain product and manufacturing process intermediate SDSs)
• Coordinate internal compliance documentation efforts. (e.g. Annual RoHS and Supplemental testing of Isola products at certified 3^rd party lab, review results, compile the data in Smartsheet and distribute the reports to internal and external customers.
• Cross check and confirm PSPR data and registration status of existing and new raw materials e.g. (REACH, TSCA, TCSI, etc.) as well as internal component mixtures.
• Establish processes and procedures on SDS review/management, compilation, documentation and distribution.
• Establish and maintain PSPR database, e.g. hazard properties, classification, etc. of Isola global raw materials, intermediates and products.    
• Support gap analysis on new and updated Chemicals/Product regulations and customer specifications.
• Provide effective and efficient advice, input and data to front line stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Quality units, etc.), to facilitate effective responses to customer inquiries involving PSPR compliance status of Isola products. 
• Promote and support the implementation of the PSPR procedures and requirements with relevant stakeholders in Isola and provide necessary trainings and capability building for front line stakeholders.

REQUIREMENT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

University degree in scientific area, preferably in Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

Working Experience

•  At least 3 years relevant experience
•  Sound knowledge in Chemistry is a MUST
•  Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
•  Proactive, be able to work independently and under pressure

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

• Conversant in Chemical Legislation knowledge
• Familiar with master data concept in PSPR area
• Proficient in SAP working environment
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
