Application Developer (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) in the Technology-Enriched Learning Initiative (Ref. 201701475) (to commence as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have at least a Degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Multimedia or a related discipline, with at least 2 years' proven work experience in web programming. They are expected to be familiar with server side technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python, MySQL, MongoDB) as well as client side technologies (e.g., HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery). They should also have good problem solving skills, communication skills and ability to work under tight schedule. The appointee will be responsible for writing well-designed, testable, maintainable and efficient code of a content management system; working with researchers/instructors to refine specifications and requirements of the systems; and preparing software documentation/guide of the systems. Candidates with less experience and qualification will be considered for appointment at the rank of IT Technician.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
