Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for network infrastructure and core systems;
  • Review, design & delivery of IT infrastructure upgrade initiatives including but not limited to Active Directory & email systems, information protection & security solutions, network / mobile device management platforms and backup & disaster recovery; Conduct post-implementation review to identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
  • Deliver active skill transfer to Frontend Support & Governance team and PRC IT teams for deployment of the above Infrastructure Upgrade initiatives to NWCL’s entities in PRC; Close communication with PRC IT for better support from corporate level;
  • Project request of proposal, vendor / solution evaluation and work with Project team (including both internal & external vendors) for project planning and rollouts;
  • Deliver technical support including upgrade and maintenance of desktop, server, network and monitor the overall operation of IT infrastructure including patch deployment, backup and recovery;
  • Provide second-level technical support and diagnosis to users for resolution of problems; and perform vendor coordination as require;
  • Assist the development of policies and procedures, and relevant duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree holder or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline; CCNA & MCSE or other relevant qualification is an advantage but not a must;
  • At least 4 years network & system administration experience, computer resources allocation;
  • Hands-on experience in managing firewall, CISCO & H3C switches, Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012 and Exchange 2010/2016, virtualization technologies particularly VMWare and Veeam backup system;
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN (VLAN, QoS, routing and switching);
  • Knowledge in Hyper-converged platform, SAN Storage, Linux will be an advantage;
  • Analytical and good communication skills, well organized, independent, self-motivated and good team player;
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and occasional PRC travel is required;
  • High Diploma holder with more experience will also be considered.
