Job Description

  (TWC/17/115/ITSO/AITO)

Duties

The appointee will be required but not limited to:

  1. implement the technical development of web-based, client/server and mobile applications;
  2. carry out project duties in site preparation for the implementation and evaluation of the developed packages;
  3. prepare user acceptance test and technical documentation for the software packages;
  4. produce graphics and layout design for website, applications and user interface;
  5. conduct training to end-user of systems; and
  6. perform any other duties as assigned by the Head or his/her delegates. 

Requirements

Applicants should:

  1. possess a recognized Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines;
  2. possess some working experience in programming;
  3. be proficient in the development of web-based applications using C# / PHP / ASP.NET / JSP / AJAX / JQuery / Javascript / Microsoft Reporting Services and MS SQL Server / MySQL;
  4. understand Software Development Lifecycle and PRINCE2 Agile is an advantage;
  5. have knowledge in Student Information System, Finance and Human Resources System or other information systems commonly used in tertiary institutions would be an advantage;
  6. be familiar with administrative procedures and practice in higher education sector, which would be an advantage; and
  7. be proactive/self-motivated and hardworking in the day-to-day undertaking of the assigned duties.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
