Job Description

Responsibilities

Hands on experience in managing MSSQL Server and Oracle DB on Windows and Linux OS
Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as installation and configuration of Database server, capacity planning, performance monitoring, tuning, problem determination and solving of database system
Maintain database high availability and ensure all production database work properly
Operation, planning and design of clustered Database environment
Suggest improvements for operating policies, technical architecture and configuration of Database system and related applications
Prepare database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)

Requirements

Degree holder in Computing or related discipline
Minimum 4 years database administrator experience
Familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design
Candidates must have SQL programming knowledge in Oracle, MS SQL server. OCA/OCP certificate is an advantage
Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Good command in written & spoken English and Cantonese
