The Production Support group provides second level support to all Front Office Trading applications used by our customers. Our Production Support team is a Global Operation with staff in Asia, EMEA and Americas regions supporting the whole front to back life cycle across all Asset classes for all of the BGC and GFI brands.  

As we expand rapidly within the Asia-Pacific region, we are seeking suitably qualified professionals to fill this new position in our Hong Kong office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide application support to BGC, GFI and other group companies  
• Monitor Trading platform components across all Asset Classes
• Participate in full life cycle of project rollouts (i.e.: Project upgrades, integration projects etc.)
• Key member to represent the Support group at Change Management meetings
• Provide maintenance of the Beta environment’s
• Communicate with customers both in and off-site under a timely and professional manner 
• Evaluate the efficiency of current monitoring components and take initiatives to improve efficiency  
• Work collaboratively with the development team ensuring efficient handover of new systems and enhancements
• Handle business outages and lead investigations to resolve problems independently  
• Improve our Follow-The-Sun model and work closely with the US and UK offices 
• Meet with BGC/GFI users as well as major financial institutions when required
• Ensure Operation risks are identified and gaps closed
• Provide staff training and support to new joiners when necessary

Requirements:

• 5+ years of application support / production support experience in a financial firm
• Experience in supporting High Frequency trading platforms and able to react calmly and quickly in a volatile environment
• Good knowledge of multiple financial products (Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Futures etc.)
• Understanding of FIX protocol and exchange connectivity
• Experience in supporting both UNIX and Windows environment is a plus
• Knowledge of Citrix is highly desirable
• Able to multitask, prioritise and work in a fast-paced electronic trading environment
• Excellent communications in English and Cantonese
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professional from Junior to Board level
• Good time management and able to work independently
