My global Investment Banking client is currently recruiting an Infrastructure Support Technician to support their helpdesk and server teams deal with issues faced by the users in the bank, as well as apply patches to the existing system. The role is based in Central.
 
Your role will be to perform upgrades and patches to the current Windows systems so should be confident at performing back ups, system restoring since this may be needed when patches are applied. Patches can only be done over the weekend so there will be some flexibility to the working week, you can work Tuesday to Saturday or if you prefer to build up some lieu days and use them as leave later this can also be possible.
 
The bank itself presents a good opportunity for a candidate to learn; use latest technologies, stable environment, and not as highly demanding as some other Investment Banks. There are a lot of people internally to learn from as well and they like candidate with a real hunger to learn. This position does not need candidates to come from a banking background so it is an excellent opportunity to enter the banking industry. This role is initially for a 12-month contract that has an extremely high chance of renewal.
 
Requirements:
 

• Microsoft certified (e.g. MCP)
• Strong windows knowledge for backups, system restores etc.
• Cantonese and English required
• 2 years working experience
• Good learner
• Able to work as part of a team or individually
