Major Responsibilities

• Provide Server-side supports and maintenance, including Windows, VM platform, eg. Setup of testing environment for Proof of Concept (POC) or UAT as required, server setup and installations…etc.
• Provide Networking supports and maintenance, including network design, scripting and relevant configuration or tuning
• Monitor network connectivity and security control, including VLAN, ACL, and routing rules.
• Monitor system performances and identify areas of possible enhancement; and close out outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades. Plan and conduct system activities such as system upgrade and drill exercises.
• Monitor daily backup status, storage status and handle data restore requests, if any.
• Provide Operations Report quarterly.
• Conduct analysis on existing systems and availability of solutions and technologies in the market; acquire and implement corresponding systems and tools, if any.
• Coordinate with users and vendor for project implementation and arrange training for users
• Provide end-user support, and handle service requests related to infrastructure support and maintenance

Qualifications/Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience
• Proven system, network support experience
• Sound skills in Windows, CentOS and SUSE Linux, KVM and VMware platforms
• Sound skills in MS SQL Server, MySQL, SQL etc.
• Sound knowledge of network infrastructures: firewall, router, switches, DNS, VPN, VLAN etc
• Sound knowledge in best practices of project management and IT governance
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Holder of relevant professional certificates, preferable but not essential
