Job purpose

Software Engineer plays a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems and responsible for writing and coding individual programmes or providing an entirely new software resource.

The main purpose of this role is to meet programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; identifying work process improvements; implementing new technology.

This role also supports and maintains existing software systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Getting involved in ALL stages of software development
• Being “Hands-on” in the process of software development
• Plans programming projects by confirming program objective and specifications with clients.
• Arranges program specifications by confirming logical sequence and flowcharts; researching and employing established operations.
• Verifies program operation by confirming tests.

Essential Experiences

ü  Practical “hands-on” experience of Development Languages

o    Web Design & Development techniques

o    CSS, JavaScript, JSON, PHP, Java

o    SQL queries & Data modelling

o    Database administration

Competencies

• University degree from major subject on Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant discipline (Applicant must graduate from one of Hong Kong local Universities)
• At least 1-2 years relevant working experience.  Fresh graduate is also welcomed.
