Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Chief Underwriting, the person will set the underwriting guidelines for the Company, control all associated operational risks, ensure full operational compliance and carry out constant review to ensure our underwriting and claims strategies are competitive and meet market and business needs.
• Develop efficient and effective underwriting rules and procedures for the Company to couple with the Share Services Center in China.
• Work with Actuarial and various departments in product strategy, development and implementation including reinsurance arrangements.
• Work closely with customers and channels to provide innovative, efficient, effective, customer-centric and round-the-clock quality services through professional & proactive commitments; honoring promises and help customers achieving health and financial prosperity.
• Secure and maintain the medical and hospital network necessary on medical check and all subsequent services.
• Ensure high level of customer, channel and staff satisfaction.
• Ensure and upkeep the professional know-hows, qualifications and trainings for all staff

Requirements:

• University graduates with minimum of 10 years of working experience in life insurance underwriting, of which at least 4 years in supervisory and managerial level.
• Good knowledge in life insurance underwriting
• Good technical knowledge and authority on underwriting and claims (medical, financial and High-Net-Worth) preferred
• Good knowledge in life insurance systems
• Mature and with strong decision making ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good analytical ability and able to meet with challenges
• Customer centric
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Positive and proactive attitude with high self-motivation
