Responsibilities:

•  Provide actuarial services to support QBE’s operations in the Asia Pacific region. This includes reserving, internal and local statutory reporting, portfolio management, internal reinsurance renewals and pricing
• Provide support to the business units in the business planning, in particular, leading forecast of the key assumptions, such as loss ratios, rate movement and retention ratios.
• Lead or co-lead reserving processes and pricing projects
• Collaborate with Data Analytics to deliver dashboard and business insight
• Assist development and maintenance of pricing models
• Support ad-hoc projects
• Provide technical training to underwriters, claims and finance
• Proactive in mentoring regional and country junior actuarial staff

Requirements:

• Tertiary graduate. Part or recently qualified Actuary.
• 5-8 years' relevant actuarial experiences in General Insurance Commercial segment
• Strong understanding of actuarial, finance and underwriting
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and research skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with a can-do attitude.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Proficient in SAS, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Preferably experience with ResQ
