We are currently helping our Client in searching for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following senior position:

General Manager, Paper Manufacturing (Based in any city in Asia Pacific)

Our Client: A Hong Kong based publicly listed company in paper manufacturing.

Roles:

• Reporting to the Executive Director in Hong Kong.
• Accountable for identifying and searching for a suitable site to set up a new modernized paper manufacturing plant in any cities in Asia Pacific (Requiring sewage treatment and contamination consideration to the surroundings)
• Working with the local architecture firm and contractor in planning and designing the structure of the manufacturing plant.
• Managing the operations of the new paper manufacturing plant, including machinery, engineering, production, quality, supply chain and logistics, safety and hygiene, environment protection, compliance with local law and legislation, human resources and training, administration, finance and accounting and IT.
• Build effective working relationship of the local government authority.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree holder + a minimum of 10 years or above solid experience in managing a manufacturing plant, previous experience in managing a paper manufacturing plant is a must.
• Experienced in planning and designing a new paper manufacturing plant.
• Fluency in both English is a prerequisite. Knowledge of Chinese and other languages will be a plus.
• Willing to be based in any city in Asia Pacific.

Remuneration:

Compensation will be set at a level appropriate to the background, current position and current compensation of the successful candidate.
