Responsibilities:

• Generate Collections for Baby / Children / Adults wear through market & trend researches and/or freelance graphics designer.
• Create Tech packs and fabric specification for the Collections
• Coordinate and monitor the whole process from initial design CAD to finished sample and to meet customer requirements in both quality and aesthetics.
• Seeking new suppliers and work closely with suppliers to develop new fabric, prints, embroidery techniques and trims to customer international standards.
• Meeting with customers to understand their design and product requirements and feed back to factories on quality, fit and aesthetics. 
• Identify ways to capitalize on cost savings and new opportunities to ensure price/value is optimized.
• Operate the R & D department within the pre-approved budget and monitor and evaluate team workload and performance and develop staff expertise.
• Coordinate and work closely with sample room (pattern makers & sewers)　and various departments (merchandising / purchasing / production)  to meet the customer’s needs in terms of timing, costing, product specification and product integrity. 

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Textile Design or A level in Textile from universities overseas
• At least 9 years relevant working experience in garment R&D with Western exposure
• Have thorough knowledge of the garment process from initial design to production with international standard
• Experience in managing a Product Development Team, Design Team, Paper Pattern makers, Sample Room and Tech Team with international quality of expertise
• Excellent in advance technology and using Adobe Photo Shop and Illustrator programs for Cads
• Extensive knowledge on children wear in UK & trend development
• Able to handle multi-tasks with extremely tight deadlines
• Must have knowledge of customer requirements in international quality and aesthetics
• Have excellent leadership skills and motivate a team to achieve agreed targets
• Experience in research, new trends in UK, fabric innovation is a must
• Large portfolio of supplier connections within garment industry
• Develop new system that makes product development efficient & effective while elevating product integrity
