Our client is a reputable consumer brand with presence across the globe. To support its sourcing function, an opportunity has arisen for a resourceful talent to join its regional team in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Director, you will oversee sourcing and purchasing activities of lifestyle merchandise (hard-goods) from Asia origins.You will identify potential new items, at both component and finish-goods level, via proactive sourcing and market research. You will manage entire merchandising cycle from sourcing, costing, sample development to vendor performance management. You will ensure all sourcing and purchasing activities are implemented in compliance with company strategies and procedures. In addition, you will drive ad-hoc sourcing projects by via cross-functional collaboration.

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• University Degree or equivalent in Merchandising, Procurement or any related discipline
• At least 12 years of sourcing and purchasing experience gained from international sourcing/ buying offices
• Strong market sense and resourceful; with proven ability in vendor performance management and key vendor development
• Ability to work effectively within diverse culture and highly matrix organization
• Pragmatic, dynamic and strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
