Position Description:

The Events Coordinator will join the team that produces best-in-class conferences and events at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. S/he will be responsible for working closely with the team to support the planning and execution of all elements required to produce high quality member and client focused events within APAC.

The role requires a high level of collaboration, coordination, attention to detail and ability to multitask. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with colleagues in APAC, EMEA and US.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing events, not limited to venue sourcing, RSVPs, branding and on-site staffing
  • Collaborate with Creative team on development of event collateral
  • Monitor and research industry trends and developments, explore unique and cutting edge venues and event technology
  • Administrative duties such as shipping event materials and inventory management
  • Develop professional working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

 Requirements:

  • A university graduate with 2 years of work experience in events and/or marketing
  • Recent Graduates with relevant internship/part-time experiences will be considered
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese). Fluency Knowledge of other Asian languages will be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with strong organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an inherent sense of care
  • A strong team-player willing to lend help to ad-hoc tasks at short notice
  • A natural curiosity to learn and understand our customers, as well as the role itself and how it contributes to the company
  • Capability to interact with various levels of internal/external stakeholders
  • A customer-focused approach to all tasks
