Job Summary:
The Senior Marketing Assistant of Market Intelligence & Initiatives performs external competitive/market data collection and works with marketing data team for internal market opportunity evaluation. The Senior Assistant assists the analysis of competitive and market opportunity to come up with insights used to develop business cases and evaluate UPS’s Marketing Strategy. He/she assists to conduct detailed analysis to help develop a current and future view of markets and the competitive environment. He/she supports the implementation of Go-to-Market plans for growth and product initiatives. The Senior Marketing Assistant reports to Supervisor of Market Intelligence & Initiatives.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyses competitors’ operations, network, strategies, products, services, technologies to determine UPS competitive position by key cities / geos.
- Maintains and archives electronic and text information to provide historical reference on competitor or market activity by Industry or Geographic level.
- Assists to develop Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis of key competitors to identify market advantages and disadvantages.
- Assists to provide insights of the competitive gaps to help stakeholders better understand the market advantages and disadvantages.
- Uses quantitative methodologies to produce analytic insights related to competitor activities market direction
- Analyses barriers for growth and develops strategic plans to enhance the value proposition.
- Assists to develop and implements Go-to-Market Strategy and conducts training to sales force to better understand the market opportunities, competitiveness and UPS capabilities.
- Assists to analyse post analysis of initiatives to understand the effectiveness of Go-to-Market Strategy.
- Develops and maintains Competitive/Market Intelligence (CMI) Fact book.
- Analyses impactful competitive news and determines how they impact to UPS.
- Communicates with internal stakeholders and provides support to facilitate understanding of enterprise initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Degree or higher – Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Finance with at least one year relevant working experiences preferred
- Meticulous with strong attention to details, demonstrate good analytical skills, matured and logical thinking, dependable and requires minimum supervision
- Fast learner, proactive team player and ability to work positively in a challenging environment
- Competent in Microsoft office Applications
- Excellence in oral and written communication, leadership and people management skills
