Job Description

 

COLLECTIVE Worklabs seeks a Community Manager to assist with maintaining and growing a vibrant, diverse, and connected membership community. The Community Manager owns all aspects of COLLECTIVE Member experience and coworking membership retention and growth.

 

In addition to overseeing a variety of projects to ensure quality for members, the Community Manager manages a cohort of work-trade program participants to assist with administrative tasks in the space. They will be the first point of contact for members and works with the Director, and the Operational team and Community Leads to ensure that members feel welcomed.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop strategies to maximize member experience & feedback
  • Oversee member events with help.
  • Manage supplies inventory with help.
  • Creation and distribution of monthly newsletter
  • Address member needs and manage expectations.
  • Organize tours and outreach for prospective members to convert leads into membership.
  • Communicate important announcements to membership online and in-person.
  • Track and present monthly metrics related to membership growth.

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Experience with recruiting, hiring, and training of professionals and/or volunteers
  • Adept at communications and content creation for newsletters, social media and blog
  • Ability to produce content and execute a predetermined brand/marketing strategy.
  • Ability to devise projects, delegate responsibilities and see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to plan and manage a variety of meetings/events.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A good listener and observer, who can recognize and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Desired Qualities, but not necessary:

 

Experience managing a coworking space is a plus.

Journalism or blog content creation experience.

Comfort and facility with IT and/or audio/visual equipment.

Experience in grant writing and/or business management.

 

Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and will be a combination of salary and incentive pay for member retention and growth.
