Our client, an International Communications Agency, seeks a Technical Director to oversee and organize the technical operations of the company in Hong Kong.

You will also have an opportunity to impact the way the company works —both on the development side and at the agency overall.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising all technical aspects on-site during production and / or integration.
• Evaluating the feasibility and costs of the proposed creative concepts for each event, from a technical standpoint.
• Produce financial forecasts and budgets of the necessary equipment needed for each project.
• Analyze the workload and processes, as well as the technical requirements, for audio-visual concepts.
• Scope the technical aspects of projects from the timeline, resource and costing perspectives.
• Manage technical vendors and freelancers working on existing and upcoming projects.

Experience needed for this role:

• Strong knowledge and experience dealing with A/V equipment and hardware for events.
• Worked as a Technical Director on events of all sizes from a technical aspect, with audience size ranging from under 100 to 5,000 or more.
• You will have worked on accounts from various industries, including automotive and airline to financial, broadcast and high-tech, across the region.
• It is mandatory that you have China and Hong Kong technical experience.
• You will have an existing network of vendors in Hong Kong and China.
• Abilities in technical drawing would be a plus (AutoCAD, Vectorworks and other 3D software).
