Exercise Physiologist (EP) at Joint Dynamics

Joint Dynamics has grown from four members of staff to approximately 30 in four years and continues to grow. We are looking at our second site in Hong Kong and a third internationally.

The new EP role at Joint Dynamics, Hong Kong, is part of a team that provides physiotherapy, sports massage and personal training care to a broad section of the Hong Kong population: weekend warriors to professional athletes. We aim to provide a bespoke service to all walks of life with an emphasis on exercise intervention. You will be part of a dynamic and truly multidisciplinary team of professionals that are client centred. You will be expected to carry a client load, which will consist of personal training, exercise prescription for special populations, performance testing, as well as developing a nascent business area.

You will be expected to contribute to the development of the JD brand within the EP scope of practice.

Basic requirements

• Degree in Exercise Physiology, will consider a graduate of Sports Science
• Minimum three years post graduate experience
• Experience in helping to develop own business within a private practice setting
• Core competencies in exercise physiology and exercise prescription
• Evidence of CPD courses and self-development

Desirable

• Public speaking experience.
• Experience of mentoring other staff members

Duties

• Provide exercise physiology care to a variety clients
• Development the EP business under the JD banner
• Performance testing delivery, write up and presentation
• Working hours consistent with Hong Kong regulations
• Presentations to staff, customers and referral sources
• Meeting with and developing potential referral sources
• Regular communication communicate well with other health care providers
• Care and management of all equipment pertaining to the EP service provision
